The way between

Part of a series of paintings documenting the walks around my home in the South Downs.

The footpath up to Brinksole between Petworth and Byworth in West Sussex. A path beween two fields, the same but different. I felt the opposition in today's dialogue and the safety of walking the centre path. The chaos creeps in from either side. There might be liberation in jumping the fence.
