Scintillation

Gouache and watercolour on linen - sunken lane in  Petworth, West Sussex

30.5 x 30.5 cm (12" x 12") (depth 20mm (1")

A brilliant morning during a heatwave, like a vision disturbance migraine, the dazzling sun is both mesmerising and unsettling. The usually lush hollowlane is dry but you can still find sanctuaries of green.
