Part of a series of paintings of Chichester Cathedral in Chichester, West Sussex.

Cathedrals have always fascinated me, the hidden intricacy, the dizzying angles and the beauty of the other. I imagine perching on the top looking down, the freedom and the fear. I think about the hiding places for angels who might roost there at night.
