Changeling

Part of a series of paintings documenting the walks around my home in the South Downs.

The footpath in Brinksole woods, between Petworth and Byworth in West Sussex. The silver birch contrast with an older, darker wood, tree - surrounding it as if to contain it. The pale path is still wet from autumn rain.

Watercolour, gouache and pastel on acid free paper.
